Accountabilities:
- Serve as the on-site lead for construction quality control across environmental remediation and infrastructure projects.
- Review project specifications, drawings, and work activities to ensure compliance with contractual, technical, and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct daily QC inspections, testing, and field verification of materials, equipment, and construction activities.
- Identify, document, and communicate quality deficiencies while ensuring timely corrective actions are implemented.
- Maintain complete and accurate project records, including QC reports, inspection logs, and compliance documentation.
- Coordinate and communicate with project managers, technical staff, subcontractors, and government clients throughout project execution.
- Support meetings by preparing agendas, leading QC discussions, and reporting on project quality status and performance.
- Ensure adherence to environmental safety standards and project-specific quality control plans.
- 3+ years of experience as a Construction Quality Control Manager on USACE or federally funded projects.
- 5+ years of experience in construction or remediation environments involving heavy equipment and excavation activities.
- Strong knowledge of construction quality control procedures, testing, inspection protocols, and compliance documentation.
- Ability to prepare detailed reports including QC logs, material inspections, deficiency reports, and submittal documentation.
- Experience working on large-scale soil excavation, backfill, restoration, or environmental remediation projects.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to coordinate effectively across field teams, clients, and stakeholders.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).
- Willingness and ability to travel up to 70% nationwide and work extended field schedules.
- Ability to work outdoors in challenging conditions and handle physically demanding field environments.
- Preferred certifications: HAZWOPER (40-hour), OSHA 30, USACE CQM-C, First Aid/CPR/AED.
