As a Security Officer – Level 2 located in Redondo Beach, CA, you’ll be a linchpin in missions of paramount importance, defining the art of the possible from day one. This position is 100% onsite and cannot accommodate telecommute work.   The Security Officer – Level 2 will patrol industrial premises to protect property and personnel against fire, theft, vandalism, illegal entry, and other hazards at our Redondo Beach, CA location.This position will work 3rd shift, weekends included. Shifts subject to change due to business need.Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:Guards and conduct patrols on campus to protect property and personnel against fire, theft, vandalism, illegal entry, and other potential hazardsPeriodically patrol premises and examines doors, windows, and gates to ensure they are secureObserve departing personnel to guard against thefts of company and personal property on campusInspect company equipment to ascertain if tampering has occurredReport security irregularitiesRespond to active alarms and medical emergenciesPermits authorized personnel to enter company propertyExamine the credentials of persons desiring access to restricted areasIssue temporary employee and visitor badges as requiredDirect traffic on company premises when neededMust be able to operate a company vehiclePerform various escort duties on campusOther duties as assignedIf this job description reads like it was written specifically for you, consider joining our team!Basic Qualifications:High School diploma or equivalent and 2 years additional education and/or related experienceRequires an active U.S. Government DoD Secret security clearance at time of application, current and within scope, with the ability to obtain and maintain Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) approval within a reasonable period of timeAbility to climb a ladderMust possess a valid government issued driver’s licenseMust be able to operate/drive a company security vehicle Preferred Qualifications:  Current California Guard Card.Active Top Secret and/or SCI clearance.Curious about all the exciting developments with the Northrop Grumman Space Sector?
