Accountabilities:

    The Quality Improvement Specialist is responsible for reviewing clinical documentation, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and supporting continuous improvement in patient care quality.

    • Review and analyze patient medical records to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with national and state healthcare regulations
    • Conduct audits and documentation reviews to identify gaps, noncompliance issues, and opportunities for improvement
    • Evaluate and validate proper application of OASIS documentation standards in home health records
    • Prepare detailed audit reports, identify trends, and communicate findings to stakeholders in a clear and professional manner
    • Collect, analyze, and interpret quality improvement data to measure performance and outcomes
    • Collaborate with clinical teams to present findings and support improvements in patient care delivery
    • Participate in educating healthcare staff on documentation standards and OASIS principles
    • Support ongoing quality assurance initiatives and contribute to process improvement efforts
    • Requirements

      This role requires strong clinical expertise, regulatory knowledge, and experience in quality improvement within a healthcare setting.

      • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in a U.S. state or compact state (eNLC eligible)
      • Bachelor’s degree in Nursing preferred
      • 3+ years of healthcare experience, including at least 1 year in home health
      • Experience in quality improvement, compliance, auditing, or a related healthcare role
      • Strong knowledge of healthcare regulations, documentation standards, and compliance requirements
      • Familiarity with OASIS coding and home health documentation practices strongly preferred
      • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills
      • Strong communication skills with the ability to present findings and collaborate with clinical teams
      • Detail-oriented with the ability to interpret complex medical documentation accurately
