Accountabilities:
- Operate and modernize large-scale edge computing environments supporting more than 100,000 connected devices.
- Manage and optimize Docker-based application deployments across distributed and remote environments.
- Troubleshoot production systems running on Linux platforms, including diagnosing issues remotely across challenging network conditions.
- Design and improve deployment processes to ensure reliable updates across large fleets of edge devices.
- Investigate and resolve complex operational challenges involving connectivity, bandwidth limitations, device availability, and application health.
- Collaborate directly with enterprise customers and internal engineering teams to solve platform and deployment challenges.
- Improve container performance through image optimization, multi-stage builds, and efficient deployment strategies.
- Support container networking, remote system management, and infrastructure reliability initiatives.
- Contribute to the evolution of platform capabilities through automation, monitoring, and engineering improvements.
- Strong professional experience working with Docker and Docker Compose in production environments.
- Experience supporting and troubleshooting Linux systems in live production settings.
- Proven experience deploying applications to remote, distributed, or edge environments.
- Strong understanding of container networking and distributed system operations.
- Experience managing systems operating under unreliable, high-latency, or bandwidth-constrained network conditions.
- Ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues remotely with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Familiarity with container image optimization and multi-stage Docker builds.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with customers and technical teams.
- Experience with industrial IoT, edge computing, IoT gateways, manufacturing automation, connected vehicles, energy, transportation, or similar environments is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of technologies such as Docker Swarm, MQTT, OPC-UA, Modbus, VPN technologies, reverse proxies, mTLS, embedded Linux, ARM devices, Systemd, or shell scripting is a plus.
- Familiarity with Kubernetes, CI/CD practices, infrastructure automation, monitoring, observability tools, GitHub Actions, Python, or Go is advantageous.
