Job Description –Project Manager – Applied (Chillers)

Reporting To: Senior Project Manager – Applied Projects
Experience: 5–8 Years
Role Summary
The incumbent will be responsible for managing the execution of multiple HVAC and chiller projects simultaneously, ensuring successful delivery in line with customer requirements, contractual commitments, and company objectives. The role will focus on project planning, coordination, schedule management, commercial follow-up, and driving projects through defined toll gates from HOTO to closure.
The incumbent will work closely with customers, vendors, site teams, and internal stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Project Execution & Coordination
Manage HVAC/chiller old, ongoing and new projects at different stages of execution.
Ensure projects are executed as per approved scope, schedule, budget, and quality requirements.
Coordinate with customers, consultants, contractors, vendors, factories, and internal teams to ensure smooth project execution.
Track project milestones and drive closure of pending activities.
Schedule Management
Prepare and maintain project schedules in coordination with customers and internal stakeholders.
Obtain customer approval for schedule baselines during HOTO.
Monitor progress against planned schedules and initiate corrective actions for delays.
Drive timely completion of project milestones and support toll gate movement.
Commercial & Financial Management
Monitor project costs, committed costs, and revenue realization.
Support achievement of forecasted revenue for assigned projects.
Ensure timely preparation and submission of invoices as per contractual milestones.
Follow up with customers for payment collections and resolution of commercial issues.
Maintain Unbilled Revenue (UBR) within prescribed limits.
Risk & Issue Management
Identify project risks and implementation challenges at an early stage.
Maintain project risk and issue logs.
Escalate critical risks, delays, and customer concerns to the Senior Project Manager in a timely manner.
Work with stakeholders to implement mitigation and recovery plans.
Customer Management
Act as the primary point of contact for assigned projects.
Maintain regular communication with customers regarding project status, schedules, deliveries, and outstanding actions.
Address customer concerns promptly and coordinate internal support for resolution.
Ensure customer expectations are effectively managed throughout the project lifecycle.
Material & Resource Coordination
Coordinate with procurement, logistics, factory, and service teams to ensure timely deliveries.
Track material availability and installation readiness.
Monitor resource deployment requirements at project sites.
Reporting & Governance
Update project status, forecasts, and financial metrics regularly.
Participate in project review meetings and provide accurate project performance updates.
Ensure compliance with organizational project management processes and documentation requirements.
Support movement of projects through defined stage gates and successful project closure.
