WHY BOX NEEDS YOU

The Caching Team provides a performant, highly-available, and scalable caching platform for use throughout the Box platform. We serve as the caching layer within our core relational data tier processing tens of millions of requests per second, while also powering numerous critical, high-throughput, and low-latency workflows. Our goal is to provide easy-to-use solutions to the complex challenges of serving heavy load with strict consistency and high performance requirements, so that developers across Box can focus on shipping their business requirements.

Looking ahead, Box’s ever-growing usage means that we have to be ready to process higher scale than ever before, and continue to do so with the enterprise-grade reliability that our customers expect. You will have a unique opportunity to help design and build our next-gen caching architecture, owning critical initiatives that improve the performance, scale, and reliability of our services. You will also partner with engineering teams across the organization to understand their needs and drive architectural improvements towards the usability and impact of our platform. As a member of this mission-critical engineering team, your work will have significant impact on engineering at Box and our 40+ million users.
