What this opportunity involves:
JLL is seeking an experienced Finance Manager to join us on a fixed-term contract until 30 September 2026, with possibility of extension. This is an excellent opportunity to work with a leading global property services firm, managing financial operations for a prestigious portfolio.
Reporting to the Senior Finance Manager, you will direct and manage the delivery of comprehensive financial and management reports to property owners, ensuring accurate month-end reporting, budgets, forecasts, and compliance across all properties.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process and deliver month-end reports for property owners, including general ledger reviews, GST analysis, and corporate reporting requirements
- Review account coding, authorize accounts payable batches, and monitor actual expenditure against approved budgets
- Coordinate the Quarterly Asset Planning Process, including pre-forecast meetings, MRI SP modeling, and Asset Plan Pack preparation
- Prepare property budgets and organize internal and owner budget review meetings to assess financial reasonableness
- Manage outgoings estimates, wash-ups, and tenant reconciliations in compliance with lease agreements and the Retail Shop Leases Act
- Complete owner quarterly miscellaneous reports and half-yearly reporting requirements including balance sheet reconciliations and tax schedules
- Respond promptly to client and external auditor queries, maintaining accurate documentation and communication
- Educate and support team members on financial issues including accrual accounting and provide financial analysis as required
Key Skills & Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field (MBA or CFA/CPA highly desirable)
- Minimum 5 years of experience in financial reporting within property management, real estate, or a related industry
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, with advanced spreadsheet and analytical skills
- Experience with MRI/MRI SP accounting systems or similar property management software
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively across all organizational levels
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize work, manage competing deadlines, and work independently
- Strong understanding of accrual accounting principles and financial compliance requirements
- Available immediately for the fixed-term contract assignment
