This is your chance to be part of a Finance Team that is a critical partner that manages all global activities related to financial performance, accounting, tax, forecasting, risk management, and asset management. As a Senior Analyst on the US Corporate Accounting team reporting to OTC Corporate Manager, you will focus on analysis, reporting, legal agreement interpretations and reconciliations.
What you'll do during a typical day:
- Support the month-end close by preparing journal entries, processing billings, compiling reports, and creating queries or Excel-based analyses.
- Analyze financial performance to identify trends and important causes affecting the Balance Sheet and P&L.
- Partner with internal and external auditors, and technical accounting teams, to ensure accurate accounting treatment of complex transactions.
How you'll collaborate with others:
- Work with auditors and teams to resolve issues and respond to data requests.
- Coordinate with third-party providers to gather required data for journal entries, billing processes, and balance sheet reconciliations.
Deliverables you'll take ownership of:
- Manage revenue recognition for application, IT, and opening fees.
- Maintain the Asset Management System for revenue-related assets.
- Review corporate-managed revenue for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with company policies.
What It Takes to Make the Stay
You have these minimum qualifications:
- Two (2) years of professional accounting experience
- Experience applying the principles and practical applications of GAAP
- Experience with Microsoft Excel (including pivot tables and v-lookups)
It would be useful if you have:
- BA/BS bachelor's degree in accounting or finance
- Experience with PeopleSoft and Hyperion Financial Management
- Experience working in Corporate Financial Analysis
