Account Manager – Employee Benefits

Hybrid | Preference for candidates local to Dallas, Texas.

We’re seeking a Account Manager who will make a meaningful impact by delivering proactive client service, thoughtful benefits strategy, and a high-touch experience for both clients and employees.

This role supports clients by ensuring benefits programs are administered accurately, aligned with strategic objectives, and compliant with all regulatory requirements. Responsibilities

What You’ll Do / Your Impact

Client Partnership and Risk Strategy

  • Serve as a primary client contact supporting ongoing account management and issue resolution
  • Work with carriers vendors and external partners to resolve claims and benefit related issues
  • Provide guidance on benefit programs plans enrollment rules and eligibility
  • Conduct employee education meetings webinars and communication sessions
  • Build strong internal and external client relationships
  • Contribute to retention and growth initiatives

Operational Excellence

  • Follow client service workflows and service calendar timelines
  • Support new group implementation and coordinate vendor setup across medical dental vision life disability and other programs
  • Monitor ongoing administration including funding contributions eligibility and compliance with applicable regulations
  • Manage audits filings and compliance related initiatives
  • Maintain accuracy of data across carrier portals EDI feeds and internal platforms
  • Coordinate and plan annual open enrollment processes
  • Review and interpret benefit documents contracts and communications materials

Strategic Contribution

  • Identify opportunities to enhance communication systems and improve client understanding of benefit programs
  • Assist in development of service team members through collaboration and knowledge sharing
  • Stay current on industry trends products legislation and carrier updates
  • Support process improvements and overall service delivery enhancements

 

Qualifications

What You Bring

Required

  • Life and Health insurance license
  • Experience in employee benefits insurance brokerage carrier or benefits administration environment
  • Strong communication and relationship management skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast paced environment
  • Strong organizational skills attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word Excel and PowerPoint

Preferred

  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience
  • Professional certifications such as CEBS PHR CLU GBA or CBP
  • Knowledge of health plans including HMO PPO CDHP and ancillary benefits
  • Understanding of regulatory requirements related to employee benefit programs
