Projects often involve hydrology, hydraulics, floodplain analyses, detention/water quality BMP design, stream restoration, bridge scour, trail design, stormwater management plans, MS4 compliance, and water rights. The ideal candidate will have some project management experience and be eager to continue transitioning into a project management role.QualificationsCandidates must have the following:A bachelor's or master's degree in civil engineering, environmental engineering, or a related engineering fieldApproximately 6 to 12 years of experience in the stormwater engineer fieldA registered professional engineer license in Colorado or ability to obtain one upon hire, and have experience in providing engineering services in the statePreferred qualifications include the following:Excellent oral and written communication skillsExperience in managing teams of engineers to provide exceptional engineering servicesExperience in mentoring less experienced engineers in technical and non-technical aspects of stormwater engineeringExperience in business development and client managementPractical application of the various hydrology/hydraulics software, including HEC-RAS (1D/2D preferred), HEC-HMS, CUHP, EPASWMM, and HY-8Experience in developing and guiding construction plan packages and/or master planning studiesExperience in Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) Letters of Map Change (LOMC) and floodplain mappingExperience with AutoCAD/Civil3D and GISExperience with construction oversight of stormwater project installationsAdditional InformationCompensation: Salary depends on experience and expertise. The typical salary range for this position is $85,000 to $135,000. Compensation includes a comprehensive fringe-benefits package.
