Job Summary and Responsibilities
As the Chief Medical Officer for Holy Cross Hospital - Jordan Valley, Holy Cross Hospital - West Valley, you will be responsible for providing leadership, strategic direction and overall operational management of physician services and medical staff administration. This role reports to the Chief Executive Officer of the facility to develop strategic plans, policies and address operational issues that build effective relationships between the hospital and its Medical Staff to produce excellence in clinical outcomes.
To be successful in this role, your responsibilities as our CMO include:
- Establishing and implementing standards and policies within each hospital and across hospitals to ensure quality of medical care.
- Partnering with the Chief Nursing Officers to provide effective multidisciplinary approaches to clinical outcome management and environments of quality and safety.
- Working closely with the Market Chief Medical Officer and CME to meet Market, Region and System-wide strategies, goals, objectives and standards.
- Serving as the primary community resource to all hospital communities and provides advice and counsel to administrators on medical and administration matters related to medical practice and current affairs.

Job Requirements
In addition to bringing humankindness to the workplace each day, qualified candidates will need the following:
Education & Experience Requirements:
- Five years’ experience in delivery of physician services and medical staff administration with proven success in progressive responsibility in healthcare leadership
- Knowledge of Joint Commission, managed care, and health policy is essential with proven success in effective integration of medical management
- Board certified in an approved clinical specialty required while in clinical practices
- MD or DO, DR-Current and unrestricted license to practice medicine in applicable state
- Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s in business administration
- Medical staff relations, quality measurement credentialing and previous medical management experience is highly desirable
