Accountabilities:

    As the AP Manager, you will own the development, optimization, and daily management of the Accounts Payable function across multiple entities. You will combine operational expertise with process improvement and automation skills to create efficient, scalable finance workflows. Your responsibilities will include:

    • Taking full ownership of the AP lifecycle and transitioning responsibilities into a centralized accounts payable function.
    • Managing daily AP operations, including vendor invoice processing, invoice coding, credit card transaction management, and payment execution.
    • Designing and implementing procure-to-pay workflows across finance systems, including integrations and automation opportunities.
    • Managing and optimizing financial tools such as ERP and spend management platforms to improve efficiency and reduce manual processes.
    • Creating and maintaining approval workflows, expense policies, system permissions, and internal control frameworks.
    • Supporting month-end close activities through AP reconciliations, accrual management, credit card reconciliations, and aging analysis.
    • Developing standard operating procedures, documentation, and training resources to support finance teams and business stakeholders.
    • Identifying opportunities to leverage AI and automation technologies to streamline financial operations.
    • Requirements:

      The ideal candidate is an experienced accounting professional with strong AP expertise, excellent systems knowledge, and the ability to independently build processes in a remote environment. You should have a structured mindset, strong analytical capabilities, and a passion for improving finance operations. Key qualifications include:

      • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field with 5+ years of experience in accounts payable, accounting operations, or similar finance functions.
      • Proven experience managing AP processes within multi-entity or international environments.
      • Hands-on experience with NetSuite and Ramp, including administration, workflows, reporting, and operational usage.
      • Experience building, scaling, or significantly improving AP functions, including approval processes and internal controls.
      • Strong understanding of procure-to-pay workflows, invoice management, payment processes, and financial reconciliations.
      • Experience using AI tools and automation solutions to optimize finance processes and reduce manual work.
      • Familiarity with VAT compliance and financial requirements for European entities is preferred.
      • Strong English communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across global teams.
      • Independent, organized, and comfortable managing priorities in a fully remote environment.
      • Experience with expense management platforms such as Pleo, onboarding acquired entities, or creating company-wide policies is a plus.
