Accountabilities:
- Own the product roadmap for onboarding, KYC, KYB, and compliance systems, ensuring a balance between fast customer experiences and rigorous regulatory requirements.
- Define product strategy for onboarding APIs and SDKs, enabling partners and integrators to seamlessly build compliance capabilities into their own platforms.
- Develop and improve risk assessment programs, including models, workflows, and processes that determine customer classification, monitoring, and review requirements.
- Build internal compliance and operations tooling, including case management workflows, review queues, escalation processes, and audit trails.
- Translate regulatory requirements and operational challenges into clear product specifications and actionable engineering priorities.
- Partner closely with engineering teams to prioritize initiatives, evaluate technical tradeoffs, and remove execution blockers.
- Define, monitor, and optimize key product metrics such as onboarding conversion, approval times, false positive rates, manual review volume, and operational efficiency.
- Collaborate with compliance, operations, and business stakeholders to deliver scalable solutions that support regulated financial products.
- Drive product discovery, experimentation, iteration, and continuous improvement across the onboarding and compliance ecosystem.
- 5+ years of product management experience owning products end-to-end, including discovery, strategy, specification writing, launch, and iteration.
- Experience building or managing API-based products within regulated environments such as banking, payments, financial services, or licensed institutions.
- Strong background in compliance and onboarding products, including identity verification, customer onboarding workflows, KYC/KYB processes, or risk management systems.
- Experience building infrastructure products or platforms designed for external developers, partners, or enterprise customers.
- Proven ability to collaborate directly with engineering teams on technical decisions, prioritization, architecture discussions, and execution.
- Exceptional written communication skills with experience creating product specifications, documentation, and cross-functional strategy materials.
- Experience designing risk scoring or risk rating programs, including logic, thresholds, workflows, and customer classification processes is highly preferred.
- Experience building onboarding solutions for both businesses and individuals is a plus.
- Familiarity with internal compliance tooling, operational dashboards, case management systems, or workflow automation is preferred.
- Experience working in Banking-as-a-Service, fintech infrastructure, payments, or financial technology environments is beneficial.
- Ability to operate effectively in early-stage environments with high ownership, limited processes, and evolving priorities.
- Technical background or strong technical aptitude, including comfort with APIs, system architecture, and data models, is preferred.
- Experience with crypto, stablecoins, digital assets, blockchain compliance, or related technologies is a plus.
- Spanish proficiency is preferred; Portuguese proficiency is a bonus.
- Competitive annual salary range of $170,000–$200,000 USD.
