What you’ll do:
PRIMARY FUNCTION:Performs basic engineering tasks and supports product development and sustaining engineering activities. Assists in the preparation of 3D CAD models, drawings, and technical documentation for connectors and cable assemblies. Supports NPI and legacy product activities under the guidance of more experienced engineers, contributing to project deliverables within established processes. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: • Supports product development and sustaining engineering projects by executing assigned engineering tasks• Assists in the creation and modification of 3D CAD models and engineering drawings (e.g., SolidWorks) following established standards• Applies basic engineering principles and drawing standards to support design and documentation activities • Supports NPI activities and legacy product updates under guidance of senior engineers • Assists in preparation of engineering documentation, including drawings, specifications, and reports• Participates in cross-functional activities with manufacturing, quality, and supply chain to support product development and issue resolution• Supports engineering change processes (CR/CO) within PLM systems (e.g., ENOVIA)• Assists in testing, validation, and qualification activities by preparing documentation and supporting execution• Participates in design reviews and team meetings, contributing to project updates and discussions• Participate in training and learning activities to develop engineering knowledge and technical skillsQualifications:
SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE:• Basic knowledge of engineering fundamentals and drawing standards (including GD&T concepts)• Familiarity with 3D CAD tools (e.g., SolidWorks) for part modeling and drawing creation• Awareness of PLM systems (e.g., ENOVIA) and engineering change processes (CR/CO)• Basic understanding of product design, materials, and manufacturing processes• Exposure to structured problem-solving methods (e.g., DFSS, 8D)BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, or Aerospace Engineering (completed or in progress)• 0–2 years of engineering experience (internships or co-op experience acceptable); SB5 requires 90+ completed credit hours.• Good written and verbal communication skillsPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:• Internship or academic experience in product design or development• Experience using 3D CAD tools (e.g., SolidWorks)• Exposure to PLM systems (e.g., ENOVIA)• Basic understanding of aerospace or industrial product requirements• Familiarity with engineering drawings and GD&T conceptsSkills:
