Management and Program Analyst

Organizational Location: This position is with the Department of Homeland Security, within U.S. Customs and Border Protection, Office of Trade, located in the following locations: Ashburn, VA Boston, MA Buffalo, NY Detroit, MI Irving, TX Miami, FL New York, NY San Francisco, CA Washington, DC This is a Recent Graduate appointment in the Pathways Program. Selected individuals are placed in a dynamic one year development program in the excepted service designed to lead to a competitive civil service career in the Federal government. At the successful conclusion of this program, the agency may non-competitively convert individuals to a term (position lasting 1-4 years with an extension up to 120 days) or permanent position within the competitive service. Conversion to a Federal competitive service position will be at the discretion of the agency and is neither guaranteed nor implied. As a Management and Program Analyst you will serve as a key analyst and advisor responsible for assisting in directing, implementing, coordinating, and overseeing department-wide mission and administrative programs. This position starts at a salary of $57,736.00 (GS-07, Step 1) to $91,815.00 (GS-09, Step 10) with promotion potential to $133,142(GS-12 Step 10). Major duties for this position include but are not limited to: Providing administrative assistance for program management activities to help maintain daily operations of OT programs. Supporting project leaders and works with staff across the organization and with external partners to facilitate collaboration and program delivery. Applying qualitative and quantitative methods to assess progress toward program goals and objectives. Analyzing data to identify trends, evaluate performance metrics, and forecast potential outcome.
