How you will make an impact:
The Life Sciences Group (LSG) is a global business within Thermo Fisher Scientific serving customers across research, clinical, and applied markets.
The Senior Financial Analyst – Global Operations FP&A will support the Operations Finance function across all Life Sciences Group divisions. This role provides financial leadership in expense forecasting, pacing analysis, and executive reporting, while serving as a trusted business partner to commercial leadership.
You will help improve forecast accuracy, identify financial risks and opportunities early, and enable disciplined expense management in a fast-paced, matrixed environment.
What you will do:
- Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual forecasting global shared functions, including actuals, Annual Operating Plan (AOP), and rolling forecasts
- Drive accountability to and clarity to the productivity and leakage forecasts and funnels, and assist each division with their EBITA bridges
- Serve as a primary finance business partner to BID, GSD and CSD PPI Leaders and Ops Finance Directors
- Prepare executive-level summaries, KPIs, and presentation materials for senior finance and Operations leadership
- Lead ad-hoc financial analyses and continuous improvement initiatives to streamline forecasting and reporting processes
- Partner with digital finance team to implement and maintain dashboards and operating mechanisms.

Requirements:
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field required
- Advanced degree (MBA or equivalent) preferred
Experience
- 5–7+ years of experience in Financial Planning & Analysis, Commercial Finance, or related finance roles
- Experience supporting commercial or sales organizations preferred
- Experience working in a large, global, matrixed organization strongly preferred
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
Strong finance experience combined with demonstrated project leadership and continuous improvement experience, with the ability to streamline forecasting and reporting processes.
- Strong analytical and financial modeling skills with advanced Excel proficiency
- Solid understanding of expense forecasting, variance analysis, and key cost drivers
- Effective business partnering and communication skills with the ability to translate financial data into actionable insights
- Ability to manage competing priorities in a dynamic environment
- High attention to detail with a strong focus on accuracy and controls
Travel requirements
- Less than 10% international travel required
