As a Senior Project Manager on the Microsoft Federal team, you will lead efforts that directly serve Federal customers seeking to meet complex, evolving needs with innovative technology solutions. You will have the opportunity to drive impact by guiding the project management office and championing financial excellence on multiple high-visibility initiatives.In this role, you will oversee project resources and finances, ensuring that every aspect of delivery meets Microsoft's high standards and federal compliance requirements. Each day we build on our values of respect, integrity, and accountability to create a culture of inclusion where everyone can thrive at work and beyond.ResponsibilitiesFinancial Governance & Risk ManagementContract Reviews: Partner with Legal and Procurement to review contracts, Statements of Work (SOWs), and Service Level Agreements (SLAs) to ensure alignment with project budgets and timelines.Invoice & Budget Management: Oversee the portfolio budget, tracking project expenditures, verifying and approving vendor invoices, and ensuring financial accountability across the portfolio.Risk Mitigation: Identify, assess, and mitigate risks at the portfolio level, implementing effective risk management strategies to safeguard project delivery.Monitoring and ControllingMaintains quality deliverable (e.g., documents) by identifying requirements, developing plans, and tracking outputs. Follows standard quality management processes and accommodates some customer acceptance requirements.Follows established change processes and confirms change with customer before formally initiating the process.Manages finances for projects and budgets by tracking financial metrics and ensuring budgetary targets are met.Relationship DevelopmentFacilitates customer satisfaction by engaging with customers in a positive manner, reviewing customer feedback, and builds trusted relationships and supports colleagues in leveraging trusted relationships with internal resources to act as the voice of the customer with guidance from mentors on politically sensitive matters.
