Job Summary:
Operates machines and production equipment independently in accordance with quality and productivity requirements safely in a manufacturing environment and may instruct or coach others.

Education, Licenses, Certifications:

Responsibilities - Essential functions:
Working Leader (supports the production technician directly). Responsible for:
- Process start-up and control
- Meet production goals
- Respond to line stops by team members
- Confirm quality – routine checks
- Cover absenteeism, line fill-in - duties include filling in on line when teammates are out and working on autonomous maintenance tasks with the team
- Training and cross-training
- Work orders for quick maintenance
- Ensure standardized work is followed
- Facilitate small group activities
- On-going continuous improvement projects
- Ensure parts/materials are supplied to process–coordinate with Material handlers
- Support team in building quality in product
- Update/improve Standard Work standard
- Continuous improvement activities
- Provide production support on company projects as required.
- Plan and recover from assembly line and test equipment system failures.
- Comply with all Meritor written environmental (ISO 14001) and quality (TS 16949) policies.
- All other job tasks as required by leadership.
