SUPO, where required)Why this role matters:As the CNC and Workshop Assistant on the HAPS team, you'll help keep our manufacturing and lab operations running smoothly. You will set up and support our CNC machines and workshop equipment, keep our growing fleet of machines and 3D printers in good working order, and make sure incoming materials and components move quickly and reliably from the loading dock to the right shelf. As our lab and workshop continue to grow in size and complexity, this role is central to keeping everything organised, available, and ready to use - so that engineers and technicians across teams can focus on building rather than searching, fixing, or waiting.Who We AreICEYE is the world leader in sovereign intelligence from space. We enable fast decisions that contribute to a safer future.Founded and headquartered in Finland, ICEYE operates globally with over 1000 employees across Europe, North America, the Middle East, and Asia-Pacific.Your day-to-day responsibilities Machine set up and auxiliary work: Prepare and set up CNC machines and workshop equipment for jobs, including tooling changes, fixturing, and auxiliary tasks that keep machines running efficiently.Maintenance operations: Carry out monthly maintenance and corrective actions on existing manufacturing team machines. Extend this to regular maintenance of the lab's 3D printers, and manage purchasing of in-house servicing parts as the equipment fleet grows.Receiving, distribution and assembly: Receive incoming goods (pallets, cardboard boxes, etc.), unpack, and place items on their correct shelving.Workshop order and team support: Maintain order and cleanliness in the workshop, and provide hands-on assistance to manufacturing, engineering, and lab teams as needed.What we’re looking forMust haves:Hands-on experience operating, setting up, or maintaining CNC machines or similar workshop equipmentBasic mechanical aptitude and comfort with hand tools and workshop equipmentOrganised, detail-oriented approach to inventory, logistics, and shelving/storage systemsGood command of the English language, both oral and writtenNice to haves:Experience with 3D printer setup, maintenance, or troubleshootingExperience with preventive and corrective maintenance routines on workshop or manufacturing machineryExperience handling goods receiving, parts purchasing, or basic inventory/stockroom managementExperience supporting manufacturing, lab, or engineering teams in a fast-moving environmentProactive, can-do attitude and willingness to take ownership of workshop order and upkeepCuriosity and passion about technology and hands-on buildingApplication Process• TA Partner Screen Call• Hiring Manager Interview• Technical Interview• Values & Fit Interview• SVP of Engineering InterviewWorking at ICEYEAt ICEYE, you’ll join a diverse and highly engaged team united by the ambition to make the impossible possible.
