Within Azure Data, the messaging and real-time analytics team provides comprehensive solutions and a robust platform that enables users to ingest high granularity signals (real-time & observability) and complex data, converting those into a competitive advantage in real-time for both end users and modern applications. The Observability Experiences team is hiring a Software Engineer 2 to build the next generation of tools and technologies for monitoring services and infrastructure in Azure and Microsoft Fabric. Our team creates user experiences for monitoring, analysis, and porting components and tools to empower users to enable impactful insights on their workloads in the cloud. Responsibilities* Participate in all stages of our engineering lifecycle of our UX components - from initial research and discovery, quick iteration on promising concepts, solution prototyping and development, all the way through production deployment and live site support * Write well-crafted, well-tested, readable and maintainable code * Participate in code reviews to ensure code quality and distribute knowledge * Be able to work well both independently and collectively in a team environment * Be able to deal with ambiguity - You will work with internal and external customers, partner teams and team members in disparate geographic locations. * Passionate about making better software and continuously improving the development process Embody our culture and values QualificationsRequired Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 2+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python OR equivalent experienceOther & Additional Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
