Responsible for managing food and beverage operations, ensuring that the department’s goals are achieved and maintained. Partner with Culinary Leaders to deliver un-paralleled Service, Engagement, and Profitability.
- Ensures highest degree of operations and customer satisfaction.
- Build systems and processes to ensure quality operations occur.
- Determines implements and updates policies and procedures for all food and beverage areas in conjunction with Manager.
- Accomplishes departmental objectives by recruiting, selecting, orienting, training, assigning, scheduling, coaching, counseling, and disciplining staff; communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, monitoring, and reviewing job contributions; planning and reviewing compensation actions; enforcing policies and procedures.
- Institute cost control procedures and standards of performance and ensure all operational expenses are within budget.
- Ensures that all hiring practices, employee disciplinary actions, and expectations of the employees are in accordance with operating procedures.
- Reports department activity to Manager regularly. Acts as a role model to other employees and always presents oneself as a credit to Harrah’s and encourages others to do the same.
- Meets the attendance guidelines of the job and adheres to regulatory, departmental and company policies.
- Must be 21 years of age or older
- Strong leadership, employee relations, communication, managerial, and organizational skills are required.
- Ability to train, follow and execute training manuals.
- 5 years of restaurant industry work, including two to three years progressive supervisory experience in a hotel or chain restaurant environment.
- Must have good analytical abilities.
- Must present a well-groomed appearance.
- Must be able to coach co-workers and work as a team for success.
- Nevada Food Handler’s Certification
- Nevada Alcohol Awareness Certification
- Nevada Non-gaming (Sheriff’s) Certification
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
- Must be able to maneuver to all areas of the property.
- Must be able to lift to 10 pounds and carry up to 5 pounds.
- Must be able to bend, reach, kneel, twist and grip items when working at assigned desk area.
- Must have manual dexterity and coordination to operate office equipment, including a 10 key adding machine, PC computers, fax machine and photocopier.
- Must be able to work at a fast pace and stressful situations.
- Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English.
- Must be able to respond to visual and aural cues.
