Senior Geotechnical Engineer
We are currently seeking an experienced Senior Geotechnical Engineer. This role will support the delivery of high-quality infrastructure projects through strong technical capability in geotechnical investigations, analysis, and design. Working closely with multidisciplinary teams, you will contribute to project delivery, provide guidance to junior engineers, and help develop practical geotechnical solutions that meet client and project objectives.
What You’ll Do
- Plan, undertake, and coordinate geotechnical investigations, including fieldwork supervision, interpretation, and reporting.
- Perform geotechnical and geostructural analyses and design for foundations, retaining structures, deep excavations, slopes, earthworks, pavement subgrades, soil-structure interaction, underground structures, and ground improvement solutions.
- Prepare and review geotechnical reports, technical calculations, and design documentation.
- Lead the delivery of small to medium-sized geotechnical projects and project teams, coordinating resources and technical outputs with minimal supervision.
- Provide geotechnical engineering support throughout project lifecycles, including concept development, detailed design, and construction phases.
- Identify geotechnical risks and contribute to the development of practical and cost-effective engineering solutions.
- Collaborate with project managers, designers, and multidisciplinary teams to deliver coordinated project outcomes.
- Support proposal preparation, technical methodologies, fee estimates, and project planning activities.
- Review work completed by junior engineers and provide technical guidance to support their development.
- Coordinate project tasks and ensure deliverables are completed in accordance with quality, programme, and budget requirements.
- Build and maintain effective relationships with clients, stakeholders, and project teams.
What You Will Bring to the Team
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, preferably with specialization in Geotechnical Engineering.
- Typically 6–10 years of geotechnical engineering experience within consulting, infrastructure, or related industries.
- Experience using geotechnical and geostructural analysis software such as PLAXIS 2D/3D, WALLAP, RS2, GeoStudio, LPILE, or equivalent.
- Working knowledge of relevant local and international standards such as DPWH, NSCP, AASHTO, ASTM, FAA, or equivalent.
- Demonstrated experience managing and delivering geotechnical projects and coordinating small engineering teams with limited supervision.
- Strong technical capability in geotechnical and geostructural engineering, including foundations, retaining structures, excavations, soil-structure interaction, earthworks, and ground improvement.
- Experience working on transportation, aviation, water, energy, resources, or other major infrastructure projects is highly regarded.
- Ability to prepare high-quality technical reports, calculations, and engineering deliverables.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary teams.
- Ability to independently manage project scope, resources, budgets, and technical delivery requirements.
- Experience mentoring junior engineers and contributing to a collaborative team environment.
