Health Unit Coordinator - Labor and Delivery - Part Time Night
Health Unit Coordinator in the Labor and Delivery Unit at Providence Holy Cross Medical Center in Mission Hills, CA. This is a Part time position and will work 8-hour Night shifts.

Registers patients upon arrival to the labor and delivery unit for either in-patient or out-patient service, which includes interviewing patient to secure current demographic information and preparing necessary documents. Screens all visitors prior to admittance onto the labor & delivery/postpartum/NICU units. Attends clerical station and performs clerical and reception duties; requisitions and maintains supplies, equipment, and services as directed. With direction from Resource Nurse/Charge Nurse/Assistant Nurse Manager: assigns rooms and/or directs patients to the appropriate area; manages and schedules all labor & delivery cases including inductions and cesarean sections using electronic scheduling system.

Required Qualifications:
- California Fire and Life Safety Card - National Organization within 30 days of hire.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Coursework/Training: Completion of Medical Terminology Course.
- Experience as unit secretary and/or admissions clerk.
