The Strategy & Business Development group is a small, high-impact team within the NBCU News Group that partners with C-suite executives to address critical market opportunities and fuel long-term growth.We’re looking for a collaborative team player with a keen understanding of industry trends who thrives in a fast-paced, analytical environment. This role will help guide our strategic business decisions, identify growth opportunities, and negotiate new partnerships and investments across our brands and platforms. You will collaborate with senior operational leaders and executives throughout the News Group to propel NBCUniversal’s long-term growth strategy. Here you can:Research and synthesize market data to identify and evaluate new business / investment / partnership opportunitiesPerform financial and strategic analysis on competitors and marketsHelp set compelling strategies that drive consumer engagement and revenueBuild detailed financial and operational models in support of organic growth and/or investmentsCreate exec-level presentations that clearly and concisely communicate analysis and findingsSupport negotiations for new business partnerships or investmentsQualifications3+ years of experience in the media sector, preferably in strategy/business development, corporate/commercial finance, investment banking or management consultingDeep knowledge of the media business with a focus on television and/or digital mediaSuperior research, analytical and financial modeling skillsExcellent communication / presentation skills and experience working effectively with senior leadershipCurious and fast learner, with a track record of taking on increasing levels of responsibility in a collaborative environmentExceptional organizational skills and ability to effectively prioritize with attention to detailPassion for the news businessBA requiredUnrestricted authorization to work in the United StatesHybrid: This position currently has a hybrid schedule, which requires contributing from the office a minimum of four days per week.
