Overview
Johnson Controls is looking for a detail-oriented and proactive NPI Quality Analyst to join our team. This role will focus on supporting the New Product Introduction (NPI) Quality Team in ensuring the effective development and launch of high-quality products by analyzing data, addressing production issues, and collaborating across teams. The position is based in a dynamic and innovative environment that fosters growth and collaboration.
Key Responsibilities
- Data Management: Execute accurate data entry, analysis, and reporting of warranty claims, commissioning issues, and production discrepancies to identify trends and root causes.
- Cross-functional Support: Collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing, and Quality Control teams to facilitate the development and implementation of Design and Process Failure Mode and Effects Analyses (DFMEAs and PFMEAs), as well as Control Plans, ensuring robust processes are established.
- Project Monitoring: Track and follow up on actions derived from FMEAs and ensure fidelity to Johnson Controls’ stage-gate process (RCLP) for NPI project deliverables.
- Customer Engagement: Act as a customer advocate in internal discussions, providing technical guidance, addressing concerns, and ensuring customer requirements are effectively met.
- Problem Resolution: Assist or lead Root Cause Analyses (RCAs) and 8D problem-solving processes related to warranty claims and commissioning issues, ensuring timely and effective resolution.
- Continuous Improvement: Participate in plant and process improvement workshops or Kaizen events to contribute to operational excellence and quality enhancement.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial) or a related technical field or equivalent.
- 1-3 years of experience in a quality, engineering, or related role. Internship or co-op experience in similar fields is acceptable.
- Proficiency in quality control methods and root cause analysis tools such as FMEA, 8D, and Continuous Improvement methodologies.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to handle complex datasets and derive actionable insights.
- Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with internal teams and external customers.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with quality and manufacturing tools.

HIRING SALARY RANGE: $70,000 - $96,000 (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.) This position includes a competitive benefits package. The posted salary range reflects the target compensation for this role.
