Accountabilities:
- Analyze large and complex structured and unstructured datasets to identify meaningful trends, patterns, and business insights.
- Translate business requirements into clear analytical approaches and deliver actionable findings to support decision-making.
- Perform deep SQL-based data analysis across multiple sources, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and data integrity.
- Build and maintain dashboards and reports using tools such as Power BI or Tableau to support business and leadership needs.
- Collect, clean, validate, and reconcile data from different systems to ensure high data quality standards.
- Collaborate closely with business, analytics, and technology teams to support key data initiatives and reporting requirements.
- Support ongoing data governance efforts, documentation, and ad hoc analytical requests.
- Identify data gaps and recommend improvements to enhance reporting efficiency and analytical capabilities.
- 8–10 years of experience as a Data Analyst or in a similar data-focused analytical role.
- Strong expertise in SQL with proven ability to perform complex data extraction, transformation, and analysis.
- Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables, advanced formulas, and data manipulation techniques.
- Hands-on experience with BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or equivalent visualization platforms.
- Strong understanding of data analysis, data validation, and reporting best practices.
- Experience working with large datasets in a structured enterprise environment.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to clearly present insights to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Insurance industry experience is strongly preferred.
- Familiarity with data modeling concepts, Agile/Scrum environments, and tools such as Python, R, or Databricks is an asset.
- Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field.
