Cloud Specialist

Key Responsibilities: 1. Data Integration & Management Extract, transform, and load (ETL) data from multiple sources, including SQL Server, Excel, and BigQuery. Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity by applying best practices in data modeling. Build relationships between fact and dimension tables to create efficient and scalable data models. Perform data transformation activities in Power Query Editor, including merging, appending, and filtering data. Work with cloud-based databases (GCP, Azure) to integrate real-time data. 2. Power BI Development & Reporting Design, develop, and maintain interactive dashboards and reports tailored to business requirements. Implement visual, page-level, and report-level filters to enhance report usability. Use DAX functions to create calculated columns, measures, and KPIs for analytical insights. Customize tooltips, labels, and formats to improve data readability and interpretation. Implement row-level security (RLS) for role-based access to sensitive data. Utilize Power BI features such as Quick Insights, Bookmarks, and Drill-through for enhanced user experience. Automate reports using Scheduled Refresh to ensure real-time data availability. 3. Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement Work closely with business users, product managers, and leadership to understand reporting needs. Gather and document business requirements to align reports with organizational goals. Present insights through reports and dashboards to help stakeholders make data-driven decisions. Collaborate with data engineering teams to improve data pipeline efficiency. Conduct training sessions and knowledge-sharing workshops to improve data literacy within teams. 4. Performance Monitoring & Optimization Optimize Power BI reports and dashboards by improving DAX queries and data models. Monitor report performance and resolve issues related to data refresh failures. Identify and address bottlenecks in report loading times and query execution. Implement best practices in data visualization to ensure reports are both visually appealing and performance-efficient. Troubleshoot data discrepancies and ensure data consistency across multiple reports. 5. Process Automation & Continuous Improvement Develop automated solutions to reduce manual reporting efforts. Implement Power Automate flows for data refresh alerts and notifications. Stay updated with the latest Power BI features, trends, and industry best practices. Explore AI-powered analytics and forecasting capabilities within Power BI. Participate in internal process improvements to enhance reporting efficiency and user experience.   Technical Skills: Power BI (DAX, Power Query, Data Modeling) SQL Server, BigQuery, MySQL Power Automate (for workflow automation) Cloud Platforms (GCP, Azure) Data Visualization & Business Intelligence Tools MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint)
