Accountabilities:

    • Manage and grow an assigned technology insurance territory portfolio, focusing on profitability, retention, and new business development.
    • Evaluate and underwrite technology-related risks by analyzing business information, claims history, coverage needs, and evolving exposures.
    • Determine risk acceptability, coverage terms, pricing structures, and underwriting decisions aligned with business objectives and established guidelines.
    • Manage new business submissions, renewals, endorsements, and account servicing requests from agents and brokers.
    • Develop and maintain strong, productive relationships with agents, brokers, and key market partners to support profitable growth.
    • Lead renewal strategies by assessing pricing, coverage analysis, loss control requirements, claims service needs, and overall account performance.
    • Maintain accurate and comprehensive underwriting documentation to support risk analysis, pricing decisions, and compliance requirements.
    • Provide guidance and support to underwriting assistants and operational team members while contributing to process improvements.
    • Develop sales and marketing strategies to achieve financial goals and strengthen market presence.
    • Mentor and coach junior underwriters and support staff by sharing expertise and best practices.
    • Requirements

      • 3–5 years of experience in commercial underwriting, preferably within technology, professional liability, property, casualty, or related insurance markets.
      • Strong knowledge of commercial underwriting standards, pricing methodologies, risk evaluation, and coverage interpretation.
      • Experience analyzing complex risks and making sound underwriting decisions based on financial and business information.
      • Strong negotiation, communication, and relationship management skills with experience working with brokers, agents, or clients.
      • Proven ability to market insurance products and services while supporting business development objectives.
      • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
      • Strong written and verbal communication skills with confidence presenting recommendations and insights.
      • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team environment.
      • Strong interpersonal skills and customer-focused approach.
      • Proficiency with PC applications and Windows-based environments.
      • Valid driver’s license and ability to maintain required vehicle insurance coverage.
      • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.
