As a Specialty Product Associate I in the Trade & Working Capital Operations team, you will manage day-to-day trade finance transaction processing while ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and strong risk controls. You will apply ICC rules and JPMorganChase procedures to support products including letters of credit, collections, bills, acceptances/reimbursements, and open account trade flows. You will also lead a small team through effective queue governance, prioritization, coaching, and global partner coordination to meet service levels and control standards.
Job Responsibilities :
- Process and release Import LC issuance, Export LC advising/confirmation, and Import LC document checking for global clients.
- Ensure transactions are handled in line with JPMorganChase policies and ICC rules (UCP600, ISBP, URR, URC).
- Deliver consistent quality and turnaround by meeting agreed SLAs and controlling rework and exceptions.
- Monitor queues and workloads by assigning work, tracking pending follow-ups, and balancing daily volume priorities.
- Identify transaction red flags, including OFAC/regulatory concerns, AML risks, and boycott-language breaches, and escalate for review.
- Coordinate with global operations partners to manage throughput, handoffs, and process updates across regions.
- Lead team routines and engagement through daily huddles, leave planning, goal execution, inclusive leadership, and regular constructive feedback.
Required Qualifications, Skills, and Capabilities :
- 1+ years of team management experience within trade finance operations or transaction processing environments
- Strong working knowledge of URC, UCP, URR, and ISBP and the ability to apply rules to live transactions
- Demonstrated subject matter expertise in LC issuance/advising/confirmation and document checking processes
- Effective communication skills across oral, written, and presentation formats for stakeholder updates and issue escalation
Preferred Qualifications, Skills, and Capabilities :
- Working knowledge of U.S. regulations with practical exposure to OFAC compliance topics in operations
- Proven capability in queue monitoring, work allocation, and prioritization in a high-volume processing setting
- Experience driving process improvements and managing deliverables using project management practices
- CDCS and/or CITF certification
