Accountabilities:
- Lead the development and execution of strategic literacy initiatives that align with organizational priorities and improve instructional outcomes.
- Oversee multiple complex projects, ensuring deliverables are completed on time, within scope, and within budget.
- Provide subject matter expertise in evidence-based literacy instruction, curriculum, pedagogy, and systems-level educational leadership.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to design equitable, research-informed solutions that address educational challenges.
- Build and maintain relationships with education leaders, districts, and partner organizations to support high-impact initiatives.
- Represent the organization through speaking engagements, publications, presentations, and thought leadership activities.
- Contribute to organizational planning, strategic initiatives, and continuous improvement efforts across teams.
- Depending on organizational needs, lead people management, partnership development, internal initiatives, program inquiry, or strategic implementation efforts.
- Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree in Education, Curriculum, Literacy, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of classroom teaching experience in elementary or secondary literacy instruction.
- At least 3 years of experience leading district-level, systems-level, or large-scale educational initiatives.
- Deep expertise in evidence-based literacy instruction and a strong commitment to equitable educational opportunities.
- Strong leadership, strategic planning, and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with experience engaging educators, administrators, policymakers, and other stakeholders.
- Experience working in collaborative, cross-functional, and project-based environments.
- Willingness to travel approximately 15–20% annually for meetings, conferences, and partner engagement.
- Competitive annual salary ranging from $150,000 to $180,000, based on experience.
