Job Summary:
Completes repairs and rebuilds on engine products in a service workshop under supervision
We are looking for a talented Diesel Technician to join our Distribution business in (Dartmouth, NS).
Schedule: 3 PM to 12 Midnight
Will make an impact in the following ways:

Complete repairs on engine products in a service shop

Perform maintenance/repairs utilizing diagnostic tools

Maintain detailed records of serviced vehicles

Adhere to Cummins Health, Safety & Environmental policies

Ongoing development/certifications on new and existing Cummins products

Maintain own tools
In order to be successful in this role you will need the following:
Primarily engaged in maintenance or basic repairs/diagnostics
Requires direct supervision and review of workmanship quality
Demonstrates an understanding on access to engine repair process information sources.
Understands after-treatment system and can identify major components and their function at a rudimentary level.
Has worked on external components on a diesel engine and understands the basic concepts.
Has some knowledge of engine diagnostic software
Red Seal Certification required
Available to work rotational 3:00 pm to midnight Shift
CNG Certification desired
Premium of $3.50 per hour for Rotational Night Shift
-This role requires a 5 year motor vehicle report, free from major violations and must meet the conditions of the company policy
Education, Licenses, Certifications:
Apprentice Trained Engine Technician (Preferred)
Vocational diploma from relevant technical institution
Locally valid driving permit (Preferred)
This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.
Experience:
Minimal level of work shop experience required
Basic level knowledge of and/or experience with engine products
