This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Technical Product Manager – WAN & Network Connectivity based in Germany.
This role sits at the heart of large-scale cloud infrastructure, defining how global regions, data centers, and customers are interconnected through high-performance networking systems. You will shape the vision and roadmap for WAN and underlay connectivity products that power next-generation AI and cloud workloads. Working closely with senior network engineers and cross-functional teams, you will translate complex networking capabilities into scalable, reliable, and customer-facing services. The environment is highly technical, fast-moving, and deeply collaborative, with strong exposure to architecture, capacity planning, and service design. Your decisions will directly influence latency, throughput, and reliability across a global AI cloud platform. This is a high-impact role for someone who thrives at the intersection of networking engineering and product strategy.

Accountabilities:
- Own and prioritize the product backlog for WAN and underlay networking services, including backbone, interconnects, peering, and transport systems.
- Define and drive the roadmap for inter-region, inter-data-center, and cross-cloud connectivity, ensuring scalable and efficient network expansion.
- Translate complex network engineering capabilities into product requirements for connectivity services, including bandwidth tiers, QoS, traffic engineering, and Direct Connect-style offerings.
- Collaborate with network engineering teams on routing, transport, and capacity design (including congestion control, path selection, and SLA definition).
- Coordinate cross-functional initiatives across engineering, infrastructure, product marketing, and go-to-market teams to deliver connectivity solutions.
- Ensure WAN services meet strict standards for latency, throughput, availability, reliability, and security across global deployments.
- Strong technical background in large-scale WAN, backbone, or service-provider network environments (e.g., hyperscalers, telcos, ISPs, or enterprise-scale infrastructure teams).
- Hands-on experience with networking technologies such as BGP, MPLS, EVPN-VXLAN, SR/SRv6, L2/L3 VPNs, DWDM/optical transport, traffic engineering, and QoS at scale.
- Solid understanding of interconnect models, including peering, IXPs, private interconnects, transit, and WAN capacity economics.
- Deep expertise in at least two areas such as backbone design, routing and traffic engineering, ISP networking, interconnect platforms, or SLA-driven transport systems.
- Proven ability to lead complex technical initiatives across multiple teams and stakeholders in large, distributed environments.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to bridge deep technical networking concepts and product-level decision-making.
- Experience in hyperscaler, cloud provider, telco, or high-scale infrastructure environments is strongly preferred.
- Product management experience is not required, but strong technical leadership and willingness to grow into product ownership is essential.
- Competitive compensation package aligned with experience and impact
- Remote-friendly and flexible working arrangements with high autonomy
- Career growth opportunities in a rapidly scaling AI infrastructure environment
- Exposure to cutting-edge networking and AI cloud technologies at global scale
- Collaborative, engineering-driven culture with strong technical ownership
- Annual learning and development support
- Opportunity to work on highly impactful global infrastructure projects
