The opportunity
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Mechanical Engineering Professional to join our team at Hitachi Energy. In this role, you will be responsible for the design, analysis, and optimization of mechanical systems and components for various energy-related projects. You will contribute to innovation and problem-solving, ensuring the reliability, efficiency, and safety of our products and solutions.
How you'll make an impact
Lead and execute mechanical design activities for traction transformer equipment
Develop and review technical specifications, engineering drawings, 3D models, and other design documentation in accordance with industry standards and company procedures
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including electrical engineers, manufacturing, supply chain, and project management to ensure seamless integration and project execution
Participate in design reviews, risk assessments, and FMEA activities
Evaluate and select appropriate materials, manufacturing processes, and components for optimal performance and cost efficiency
Provide technical support during manufacturing, installation, commissioning, and field operations
Your background
Bachelor's degree or Engineering School qualification in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in mechanical design and engineering in the field of power products industry
Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., Creo, Catia) and product life management (PLM/PDM) systems
Strong understanding of mechanical engineering principles, including thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, heat transfer, stress analysis, and materials science
Excellent problem-solving, excellent problem-solving, analytical, and critical thinking skills
Strong communication, interpersonal, and teamwork abilities
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize in a dynamic environment
