About the Team

Workday’s product marketing team is responsible for deeply understanding and articulating what is different, better, and remarkable about Workday’s offerings. The Story Foundation and Marketing Activation team is the glue between product, product marketing and marketing. We gather the AI narrative, the platform narrative, and inputs from product and functional PMKs — and we synthesize them into one coherent, consistent Workday corporate story that shows up everywhere it matters.

We are the editor-in-chief of the full story. Others are the authors of their domains. Our job is to make sure the complete story holds together, gets activated consistently, and stays current.

Success looks like: every customer, analyst, seller, and Workday employee hears the same story regardless of channel — and when the story needs to move, leaders come to this team to make it happen.

About the Role

As Workday's corporate narrative becomes more dynamic — more inputs, more channels, more speed — someone has to make sure the machinery behind it never breaks. This role is that person. They own the operational backbone that turns narrative strategy into something that actually moves through the organization: the intake process, the update cadence, the distribution mechanics, and the discipline that keeps the SSOT trustworthy.

This is not a support role bolted onto the strategy work — it is the difference between a narrative that exists on paper and a narrative that's actually live across Seismic, Horizon, and every team that depends on it.

Responsibilities

  • SSOT orchestration — keeping the corporate narrative source of truth current, versioned, and free of stale or conflicting content

  • Narrative Brief process — the standing mechanism that tells every cluster lead and input owner what changed, why, and what they need to do about it, on a 5-business-day turnaround

  • Operating cadence management — running the weekly team standup, coordinating the biweekly intake syncs, and keeping the monthly cross-cluster review on rails

  • Intake model administration — the standing sync structure, brief format, and defined path across PMK teams to incorporate narrative evolution into the SSOT

  • AI tools accuracy loop — the quarterly audit that ensures Seismic, GTMC, and Sana are producing on-narrative answers

Most operational roles execute a fixed process. This one is the process — if the cadence slips, the intake breaks down, or the brief doesn't land on time, the entire synthesis model stalls. This person needs to be equal parts systems thinker and relationship manager: comfortable owning infrastructure, but also trusted enough that four cluster leads and multiple input owners route through them without friction.

What We're Looking For

  • Proven ability to build and run operational cadences across cross-functional stakeholders without formal authority

  • Strong writing and synthesis skills — able to translate narrative shifts into a clear, actionable one-pager

  • Comfort owning a system of record (Seismic/Horizon experience a plus) and enforcing content hygiene

  • A bias toward proactive coordination — catching gaps before they become escalations

Our Approach to Flexible Work

With Flex Work, we’re combining the best of both worlds: in-person time and remote. Our approach enables our teams to deepen connections, maintain a strong community, and do their best work. We know that flexibility can take shape in many ways, so rather than a number of required days in-office each week, we simply spend at least half (50%) of our time each quarter in the office or in the field with our customers, prospects, and partners (depending on role). This means you'll have the freedom to create a flexible schedule that caters to your business, team, and personal needs, while being intentional to make the most of time spent together. Those in our remote "home office" roles also have the opportunity to come together in our offices for important moments that matter.

Pursuant to applicable Fair Chance law, Workday will consider for employment qualified applicants with arrest and conviction records.

Workday is an Equal Opportunity Employer including individuals with disabilities and protected veterans.

At Workday, we are committed to providing an accessible and inclusive hiring experience where all candidates can fully demonstrate their skills. If you require assistance or an accommodation at any point, please email
