Certification Operations Coordinator

Job Summary

A Certification Operations Coordinator is the backbone of daily certification team operations. They ensure that crucial aspects of the IAPP's certification programs, from testing through continuing maintenance, run smoothly. Much of their daily work involves overseeing the ongoing and routine functions that are central to the certification cycle, while some responsibilities require responding to unexpected issues experienced by customers or other employees. Certification Operations Coordinators also assist in larger projects, such as product launches or process improvements.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily certification operations processes. This may include auditing CPE submissions, processing special accommodations requests, pre-approving activities for CPE eligibility, or other similar responsibilities.
  • Processes certification JIRA tickets. Includes troubleshooting and resolving issues related to online and test center exam administration, and making decisions on policy exception requests using internal guidelines.
  • Maintain accurate logs and records (Appeal log, complaint log, training log, special accommodations documents, etc.) for ANAB and data governance purposes.
  • Support certification management in product development, software migration, and similar large-scale efforts.
  • Support certification management in improving operational processes.
  • Support certification management in ensuring accurate internal documentation, and clear and effective communication to stakeholders.
  • Additional duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

Education and/or Experience

  • High school diploma or GED; and up to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite.
