Supervisory Interdisciplinary

This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for STEM to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service. About the Position: Serves as the Director, Directorate of Public Works exercising full authority for management and operation decisions related to engineering and environmental activities. You will plan, manage and administer the installation's repair and utilities program, which requires continuous monitoring and analysis of program execution to make strategic adjustments for changing local conditions. You will coordinate facility modifications and new construction requests with the Garrison Master Plan while continuously analyze and review facilities operations and maintenance programs to address evolving requirements. You will participate with the Program, Budget, and Manpower Division and other directorate personnel in preparing, justifying, and adjusting the directorate budget. Through subordinate supervisors, you will assign, direct, and evaluate the work of the subordinate organizational elements. Establishes workload priorities and initiates assignments. You will provide advice, counsel, and instruction on technical and administrative matters. Hears and resolves employee complaints. You will interview candidates for key vacant positions and make selections and review performance evaluations made by subordinate supervisors.
