Accountabilities:
- Conduct original research and analysis related to methane emissions, global import standards, and the development of lower-emission energy markets.
- Analyze quantitative and qualitative information to identify market opportunities, policy impacts, and pathways for emissions reduction.
- Develop clear and compelling data visualizations, reports, presentations, briefing materials, and public-facing publications.
- Build and maintain trusted relationships with stakeholders, including policymakers, regulators, researchers, industry representatives, financial institutions, and nonprofit organizations.
- Support the planning and execution of projects, including research approaches, timelines, communications strategies, and stakeholder engagement activities.
- Contribute to initiatives focused on energy transition, market-based solutions, and decarbonization strategies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop research outputs and achieve shared program objectives.
- Communicate complex technical concepts effectively to both specialized and general audiences.
- Monitor developments in energy markets, climate policy, emissions measurement, and industry trends.
- Support strategic discussions that advance methane reduction efforts and broader climate goals.
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant technical field such as energy economics, energy policy, environmental science, climate science, chemical engineering, environmental engineering, data science, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant professional experience, or a master’s degree in a related field with at least 2 years of relevant experience.
- Strong quantitative analysis and problem-solving skills, with the ability to break down complex issues into clear and practical insights.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, work independently, and deliver high-quality results in a dynamic environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to write for both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Experience in energy markets, oil and gas, electricity, energy consulting, policy analysis, finance, research, or related fields preferred.
- Knowledge of greenhouse gas emissions, methane reduction strategies, climate policy, or energy transition topics preferred.
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills and the ability to build collaborative relationships across sectors.
- Ability to work effectively in a remote, globally distributed team environment.
- Competitive salary range of approximately $84,000 - $103,000, depending on experience, skills, education, and role alignment.
- Additional bonus opportunity with a target of 5%.
