Accountabilities:

    As a Principal Product Manager, you will define product strategy, drive platform innovation, and enable teams to deliver scalable solutions that create long-term value. You will be responsible for:

    • Defining and maintaining the long-term product vision and roadmap for identity and access capabilities across a complex technology ecosystem.
    • Making prioritization decisions based on customer impact, business outcomes, technical feasibility, platform scalability, and data-driven insights.
    • Leading the transition from fragmented legacy identity solutions toward a unified and scalable platform foundation.
    • Developing migration strategies and adoption plans to support platform modernization initiatives.
    • Partnering closely with engineering, architecture, security, and data teams to evaluate technical trade-offs and ensure reliable, secure solutions.
    • Designing platform capabilities, interfaces, and self-service experiences that support internal teams and external users.
    • Translating strategic goals into measurable outcomes, delivery plans, and continuous improvement initiatives.
    • Supporting authentication, authorization, interoperability, and industry standards to ensure secure and flexible platform operations.
    • Collaborating with analytics and AI teams to unlock cross-product insights and future platform opportunities.
    • Aligning stakeholders across Product, Engineering, Design, Security, and Commercial teams through effective communication and influence.
    • Contributing to product management best practices and helping strengthen platform product capabilities across the organization.
    • Requirements:

      The ideal candidate brings extensive experience managing complex technical products and the ability to operate effectively across business and engineering environments. You should have:

      • 5+ years of product management experience, with ownership of platform, infrastructure, or highly technical products.
      • Proven experience defining product strategies and roadmaps for complex, multi-stakeholder environments.
      • Strong understanding of APIs, integrations, distributed systems, and platform architecture concepts.
      • Experience building products, services, or capabilities used by internal teams, developers, or external customers.
      • Ability to balance user needs, technical constraints, scalability, security, and business priorities when making product decisions.
      • Experience influencing engineering, architecture, security, data, and business stakeholders without direct authority.
      • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex technical concepts for diverse audiences.
      • Experience using AI-enabled tools and workflows to improve product research, analysis, prioritization, and execution.
      • Strong analytical mindset with experience defining success metrics and measuring product impact.
      • Preferred qualifications include:

        • Experience with Identity and Access Management concepts such as SSO, SAML, OIDC, OAuth, SCIM, RBAC, and multi-tenancy.
        • Background working with education technology or software platforms.
        • Familiarity with education data and rostering standards such as OneRoster, Clever, ClassLink, Feide, Skolon, or UniLogin.
        • Experience leading platform consolidation, modernization, migration, or post-acquisition integration projects.
        • Knowledge of cloud platforms and architecture patterns, ideally within AWS environments.
        • Experience working with analytics platforms, customer data systems, or modern data architectures.
        • Understanding of privacy and compliance requirements such as GDPR, FERPA, or COPPA.
        • Experience mentoring product managers or contributing to product operating models.
