**Summary:**
Meta is seeking a Manufacturing Technical Manager to lead the technical operations and manufacturing readiness of consumer hardware products across the product development lifecycle. In this role, you will serve as the primary technical interface between internal engineering teams and external manufacturing partners, driving alignment on process development, build execution, and production ramp for complex consumer electronics. You will own manufacturing strategy from early-stage development through mass production, ensuring that cost, quality, schedule, and scalability targets are met across a global supply chain.
**Required Skills:**
Manufacturing Technical Manager Responsibilities:
1. Own end-to-end manufacturing technical operations at contract manufacturers, driving development builds, process qualifications, and production ramp readiness for consumer hardware products
2. Define and implement manufacturing process strategies, including line design, equipment selection, tooling qualification, and capacity planning in partnership with supplier and internal engineering teams
3. Lead supplier technical readiness reviews, identifying gaps in process maturity, equipment capability, and staffing, and driving closure on open issues prior to build milestones
4. Develop and maintain program risk registers for manufacturing operations, proactively identifying technical and operational risks and presenting mitigation options to cross-functional leadership
5. Collaborate with product engineering, quality, sourcing, and test engineering teams to ensure design-for-manufacturability requirements are embedded early in the product development process
6. Establish roles, responsibilities, and engagement models between internal teams and external manufacturing partners to ensure clear accountability across all build phases
7. Drive on-site bring-up and integration activities at supplier facilities, coordinating internal and external resources to meet build schedules and quality targets
8. Communicate manufacturing program status, risks, and escalations clearly and concisely to executive stakeholders through structured program reviews and cross-functional forums
9. Leverage AI-integrated workflows and data-driven analysis to optimize manufacturing process monitoring, yield tracking, and build execution efficiency
10. Coach cross-functional partners on manufacturing operations best practices, process simplification, and continuous improvement methodologies to scale learnings across programs
**Minimum Qualifications:**
Minimum Qualifications:
11. Experience leading new product introduction programs from development builds through mass production ramp, including process qualification and line bring-up at contract manufacturers
12. Experience managing cross-functional technical programs involving mechanical, electrical, or optical manufacturing processes with complex supplier ecosystems
13. Experience communicating manufacturing program status, risks, and technical tradeoffs to engineering and executive stakeholders through structured written and verbal formats
14. Ability to travel to supplier sites during critical build and ramp activities
**Preferred Qualifications:**
Preferred Qualifications:
15. Experience adhering to and implementing responsible, ethical AI practices (e.g., risk assessment, bias mitigation, quality and accuracy reviews)
16. Experience defining and deploying AI-integrated tools or data-driven workflows to improve manufacturing process monitoring, build execution, or supplier readiness tracking
17. Demonstrated ability to integrate AI tools to optimize/redesign workflows and drive measurable impact (e.g., efficiency gains, quality improvements)
18. Experience with new technology introduction programs involving advanced manufacturing processes such as precision optics, thin-film deposition, or complex electromechanical assembly
19. Familiarity with statistical process control, yield analysis, and manufacturing data systems used to monitor and improve production quality at scale
20. Demonstrated ongoing development of AI skills, including prompt engineering or agent-based workflow design, applied to manufacturing operations or program management contexts
21. Demonstrated ongoing AI skill development (e.g., prompt/context engineering, agent orchestration) and staying current with emerging AI technologies
