EHS Coordinator

TerraPower, LLC. is seeking a Contractor to provide the following services: maintaining written EHS programs, managing EHS-related documentation, and ensuring documents are organized, current, and aligned with supporting environmental, health, and safety policies and procedures. The role also supports the administration and upkeep of EHS software platforms, Confluence pages, and SharePoint sites to ensure accurate records, document control, and effective communication of EHS information across the organization.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the development, review, update, and distribution of EHS written programs, policies, and procedures, and supporting documentation.
  • Maintain document control processes for EHS programs, including revision tracking, version control, approvals, record retention, and archiving.
  • Administer and maintain EHS software systems, including data entry, record accuracy, user support, report generation, and workflow tracking.
  • Develop and maintain EHS content and document libraries within SharePoint, Confluence, and other internal platforms to ensure information is organized, accessible, and current.
  • Coordinate EHS action-item tracking, follow-up activities, and status reporting for audits, inspections, incident reviews, and corrective actions.
  • Assist with the preparation, organization, and maintenance of EHS metrics, dashboards, reports, and presentation materials.
  • Maintain records related to inspections, audits, incident investigations, and regulatory compliance activities.
  • Review EHS documents for formatting, completeness, consistency, and alignment with internal standards and document management practices.
  • Assist employees with access to EHS systems, forms, templates, and program resources.
  • Support management by preparation of materials and documentation for internal audits, external audits, regulatory inspections, and management reviews.
  • Monitor EHS administrative processes and identify opportunities to improve document organization, program efficiency, and communication.

Key Qualifications and Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in environmental health and safety, environmental science, occupational safety, industrial hygiene, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in Occupational or Environmental Health and Safety
  • 2+ years administering or supporting EHS management systems, software platforms, or other database-driven tools.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to multi-task to manage shifting priorities and to follow through on projects with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with various teams.
  • Strong knowledge of EHS laws and regulations relevant to site operations.
  • Certifications in quality management, such as LEAN or Six Sigma is a plus.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Experience in a lab, manufacturing, or industrial environment

TerraPower’s technology is controlled for export by various agencies of the U.S. Government.  TerraPower must evaluate applicants who are foreign nationals (other than asylees, refugees, or lawful permanent residents) in accordance with U.S. Government export control requirements.  To facilitate TerraPower’s export control reviews, you will be asked as part of the application process to identify whether you are a U.S. Citizen or national, asylee, refugee, or lawful permanent resident of the United States.  Government export authorization approval times vary.  Based on the business needs for a particular position, TerraPower may not consider a foreign national from a country if it is impracticable to obtain timely Government export approval.

Job details

Salary Range: $87,686 - $131,529

* We typically place offers in the lower to middle portion of the range to maintain internal equity and allow room for growth. Any salary offered within the posted salary band is based on market data and commensurate with the selected individual’s qualifications experience.  This range is specific to Washington State.
