Associate Software Engineer- AI/ML

Devsinc is looking for a passionate Associate Software Engineer – AI/ML to join our growing engineering team. In this role, you will contribute to the design, development, and deployment of AI and Machine Learning solutions that solve real-world business problems. You will work alongside experienced engineers, data scientists, and cross-functional teams to build intelligent applications, optimize machine learning models, and leverage modern AI technologies, including Generative AI and Large Language Models (LLMs).

Responsibilities

• Develop, test, and maintain AI/ML applications and intelligent software solutions.
• Build, train, evaluate, and optimize machine learning and deep learning models.
• Work with structured and unstructured datasets for data preprocessing, feature engineering, and model development.
• Design and implement scalable backend services to integrate AI models into production applications.
• Develop and consume RESTful APIs for AI-powered applications.
• Collaborate with software engineers, data scientists, product managers, and stakeholders to deliver AI-driven solutions.
• Implement and optimize NLP, Computer Vision, or Predictive Analytics models based on project requirements.
• Work with Large Language Models (LLMs), prompt engineering, and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) pipelines where applicable.
• Monitor, evaluate, and improve model performance, accuracy, and scalability.
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following software engineering best practices.
• Debug, troubleshoot, and resolve issues across AI/ML pipelines and deployed applications.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to continuous improvement of engineering standards.
• Stay up to date with emerging AI technologies, frameworks, and industry best practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Software Engineering, Data Science, or a related field.
• 0–6 months of experience (including internships, academic projects, or freelance experience).
• Good understanding of Python programming.
• Basic knowledge of Machine Learning concepts and algorithms.
• Familiarity with at least one ML framework such as Scikit-learn, TensorFlow, or PyTorch.
• Basic understanding of data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented programming.
• Familiarity with SQL and databases.
• Basic knowledge of Git and version control.
• Understanding of REST APIs is a plus.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and willingness to learn.

Nice to Have

• Internship or academic project experience in AI/ML.
• Exposure to Generative AI or Large Language Models (LLMs).
• Familiarity with Prompt Engineering.
• Knowledge of LangChain, LlamaIndex, or similar AI frameworks.
• Basic understanding of Docker or cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Experience participating in hackathons, Kaggle competitions, or open-source projects.
