Representative Client Service II- Administration | full-Time | Days
Overview
Position Summary
Reports directly to the designated manager for the assigned practice or outpatient department. Responsible for scheduling patient appointments and providing high-quality front desk and administrative support.
Duties include interviewing patients to obtain accurate demographic and financial information, registering patients, and completing all required registration functions. Obtains necessary signatures and documentation for billing and insurance purposes.
Coordinates laboratory and diagnostic test orders via the electronic system at the direction of physicians. Completes end-of-day disposition tasks and compiles relevant patient statistical information.
Answers incoming phone calls, announces patient arrivals, and serves as a liaison between patients, nurses, physicians, and other staff members. Provides excellent customer service and greets patients entering the department or practice.
Additionally, this role processes referral requests for all providers within the clinic module and ensures required referral and authorization numbers are obtained when necessary.
Qualifications
Age of Patients Served: All age groups
Required Education: High school diploma or GED
Required Experience: Minimum of two (2) years of experience in a clinical office setting with extensive patient registration, front desk, and insurance experience and knowledge

Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Knowledge of insurance plans and guidelines
- Ability to obtain authorizations and pre-certifications from insurance plans
- Strong decision-making skills and initiative
- High attention to detail
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
- Basic arithmetic skills for cashiering functions
- Data entry experience required
- Ability to prioritize tasks and organize workflow effectively
- Ability to handle stressful situations in a professional, customer service–oriented manner
- Skilled in conflict resolution
Preferred Licensure/Certifications:
- ICD-9 and CPT coding knowledge preferred
- Completion of a standard terminology course is helpful but not required
