Loan Operations Specialist

SUMMARY:

Responsible for booking and keying incoming loans, renewals, and modifications into the Bank's Core loan system.  Responsible for ensuring all loans are booked to the system in a timely and accurate manner.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Time:   Description:

60% Book and key all incoming loans, renewals, and modifications into the Bank's Core loan system.

10% Review all loans, modifications and renewals that are keyed to ensure they are on the system correctly and there are no errors.

10% Balance GL accounts associated with loans, perform loan related research, work credit bureau disputes, create SBA reports and complete other duties as assigned by the department manager.

20% Assist branch personnel with all system related questions

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

High school diploma or GED and 2 years of loan operations and bank systems experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:

• Working experience with booking loans, loan systems and loan documentation.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills and be able to work independently.  
• Detail oriented, self-motivated, and excellent organizing and prioritizing skills.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Working knowledge with Word, Excel, and Access.
