Responsibilities
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Enterprise Architect to support the development and evolution of the GEOINT Enterprise Architecture (GEA). In this role, you will assist in creating, maintaining, and communicating enterprise architecture artifacts that align with mission objectives, strategic priorities, and operational concepts across the GEOINT enterprise.
The ideal candidate possesses foundational experience with architecture frameworks and tools, an understanding of enterprise-level technology environments, and an interest in supporting large-scale intelligence and defense missions.
Key Responsibilities
Enterprise Architecture Development
- Support the development, maintenance, and documentation of the GEOINT Enterprise Architecture (GEA).
- Ensure architecture products align with organizational strategy, mission priorities, and operational concepts (CONOPS).
- Contribute to enterprise architecture efforts that support mission modernization and transformation initiatives.
Architecture Modeling and Documentation
- Assist in the creation and maintenance of architecture artifacts and models in accordance with:
- Department of Defense Architecture Framework (DoDAF)
- Intelligence Community Program Architecture Guidance (IC PAG)
- Develop and communicate architecture views, diagrams, and supporting documentation for technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Utilize architecture tools and repositories to capture and maintain enterprise information.
Analysis and Decision Support
- Perform architecture analysis to support government decision-making activities.
- Provide data and analytical support to evaluate trade-offs between competing mission, operational, and technical requirements.
- Assist with assessing impacts of proposed changes to systems, capabilities, and enterprise services.
Location: This position is fully onsite in Chantilly, VA.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, Engineering, or a related STEM field, or 4 additional years' of equivalent junior-level Enterprise Architect experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
- Experience in government or industry environments utilizing enterprise architecture tools and methodologies.
- Familiarity with enterprise architecture development principles and frameworks.
- Active TS/SCI clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain a polygraph.
Desired Qualifications
- Working knowledge of Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) methodologies.
- Familiarity with MBSE tools, processes, and modeling languages.
- Exposure to intelligence community or Department of Defense enterprise architecture environments.
- Experience supporting architecture efforts within large, complex technical organizations.
Preferred Skills
- Understanding of enterprise architecture frameworks including DoDAF and IC PAG.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate technical concepts to diverse stakeholders.
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, team-oriented environment supporting mission-focused initiatives.
