Accountabilities:

    In this role, you will lead the Core UI function as both a people manager and platform owner, ensuring high-quality frontend systems, strong design-engineering alignment, and scalable UI architecture.

    • Lead, mentor, and grow a team of Design Engineers and Core Frontend Engineers, managing hiring, performance, and career development.
    • Define and execute the Core UI roadmap, aligning frontend platform strategy with broader product and engineering goals.
    • Own and evolve the design system, shared component libraries, and core frontend architecture as scalable platform assets.
    • Establish and enforce standards for accessibility, performance, responsiveness, testing, and UI consistency across all frontend systems.
    • Partner closely with UX Design to align design intent (Figma) with implementation (React/TypeScript), ensuring smooth design-to-code workflows.
    • Drive cross-functional collaboration with Product and Engineering teams to ensure predictable delivery of UI initiatives.
    • Manage technical debt and architectural decisions across the frontend ecosystem with a balance of long-term vision and delivery needs.
    • Champion accessibility and UX quality, ensuring a consistent, polished, and inclusive user experience across the platform.
    • Requirements:

      The ideal candidate brings strong frontend engineering expertise combined with proven leadership experience in building and scaling UI or design system teams.

      • 8+ years of experience in frontend, UX engineering, or design-adjacent engineering roles.
      • 2+ years of experience managing or technically leading engineering teams.
      • Strong expertise in TypeScript and React, with deep understanding of modern frontend architecture and component design.
      • Proven experience owning or significantly contributing to design systems or shared UI libraries used across multiple teams.
      • Strong knowledge of accessibility standards (WCAG) and how to operationalize them in production systems.
      • Experience collaborating closely with UX designers, product managers, and engineering stakeholders.
      • Hands-on experience with Agile development methodologies and cross-team delivery workflows.
      • Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to influence across disciplines.
      • Experience with tools such as Storybook, design tokens, and Figma-to-code workflows is a plus.
      • Familiarity with frontend testing strategies and broader full-stack collaboration is beneficial.
