The Opportunity
Are you ready to lead the Global Program for complex Localization Initiatives within Global Diagnostics Procurement? As our Procurement Global Program Lead—primarily based in Suzhou, China, with flexibility for Rotkreuz, Switzerland—you will be accountable for the end-to-end delivery of strategic business insights and impact for our global organization.
Reporting Line: Reports directly to the Head of Delivery.
Wider Team & Stakeholders: Works closely with global, regional, and local stakeholders to represent Direct Procurement in pertinent leadership teams and projects.
Role Type: A matrix leadership role managing a global program, driving cross-functional collaboration and strategic change.
Impact: You will drive the Procurement strategy by effectively managing the resources, tools, and processes for assigned global change initiatives. Specifically, you are accountable for:
Strategic Business Alignment: Partnering with stakeholders to translate business strategies into actionable program requirements.
Localization Implementation: Leading the socialization and execution of critical projects, ensuring that local and network procurement teams have the necessary guidance and support.
Governance & Process Excellence: Establishing robust governance, driving implementation/execution process harmonization, and ensuring the continuous improvement of quality, efficiency, and effectiveness.
Risk & Issue Resolution: Managing risk and leading resolution of program design/implementation issues with an end-to-end mindset.
Budget & Documentation: Managing program budgets and defining the knowledge-sharing framework for global processes from a Procurement perspective.
Who you are
We look for an inspiring, cross-cultural leader who can navigate complex organizational matrices, build consensus among diverse stakeholders, and deliver on shared strategic goals.
Education: A University Master's degree is required, with a focus in Engineering, Business, Supply Chain Management, or Life Sciences being highly preferable.
Experience: 15+ years of overall business experience, including working within a regulated industry for regulated categories. This is combined with 10+ years of in-depth procurement experience with extensive knowledge of operational and transactional procurement.
Leadership Mastery: Demonstrated success in leading global cross-functional program teams and documented experience in leading value improvement programs at a global level.
Procurement & Change Expertise: Proven capability in negotiation, conflict resolution, and stakeholder management. You bring strong change management and process improvement skills, with direct experience delivering complex business process or organizational changes.
AI & Digitalization: You have a strong affinity to explore AI-driven solutions for the digital transformation of operations and encourage your team to achieve advanced knowledge in AI applications.
Communication: Excellent communication, teaching, and project management skills with the ability to explain complex concepts to different audiences, set priorities, direct teams, and deliver complex strategic initiatives.
Languages: Business-level fluency in English is required. Fluency in the local site language is desirable.
Travel: Frequent global travel (up to 20%) to supplier and Diagnostics sites is required.
