Manufacturing Systems Engineer

Description -

Job Summary/Responsibilities

o   Design, develop, test and implement specialized measurement/automation tools for 3D printer testing.

o   Manage and follow up closely on tool development and delivery with our assigned tool vendor according to program requirement.

o   Ensure deliverables according to quality and shipment requirements

o   Collaborate with engineering, operations, and QA teams.

o   Manage/train and collaborate with MPA tooling team counterparts.

o   Integration of measurement sensors, actuators, and industrial communication protocols according to HP recommendations.

o   Perform troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and ongoing support for such tools on site.

o   Evaluate and recommend tools and technologies to improve tool design.

o   Create and maintain technical documentations, BOM, and system diagrams where applicable.

o   Explore AI/automation/robotics and create/implement projects in MPA with sound ROI

o   Explore/qualify alternate automation vendors for cheaper costs.

o   Develop proper documentations after tool buy off. Support NPI builds and occasional travel for design reviews and vendors sites for tool discussion and validation.

o   Provide technical DFX recommendations from tooling/Manufacturing POV during NPI , integrates tooling knowledge with product and product improvement phases



Education & Experience Recommended

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronic Engineering or any related field
  • 4–6 years of experience in manufacturing environment with production tools and automation
  • Experience in measurement tools/automation tools development
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Strong sense of urgency according to program schedule
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Strong CAD drawing skills
  • Strong mechanical skills
  • Strong electrical and electronic skills


Knowledge & Skills
• Robotics and Automation

CAD Applications for designing  PTC Creo, Solidworks and equivalent

• Machine Learning and genAI applications

Microsoft Office Excel (VBA Macro Programming)• Familiar with Programming Language (TCL, VB, Python, JavaScript)
