The Design Lead is responsible for leading the planning, design, coordination, and quality assurance of Designs across multiple projects across the UK.
The role provides technical leadership to design teams, ensuring that solutions meet client requirements, industry standards, and regulatory obligations while supporting efficient project delivery.
The Design Lead will work closely with project managers, acquisition teams, structural engineers, tower manufacturers etc to deliver high-quality designs for new site builds and upgrade sites.
Job Description
Preparing & supporting preparation of site designs to operator guidance & requirements.
Providing technical input to and producing Planning & Construction drawings using CAD 2D software.
Making recommendations for & progressing further investigation works.
Providing project specific technical & engineering input to support designers & delivery management teams.
Client liaison & collaboration to drive appropriate design solutions.
Qualifications
Previous experience of within telecommunications design industry essential.
5+ years’ experience on CAD software (preferably in engineering)
A significant qualification in design/engineering
Computer literate, including software packages such as AutoCAD & Microsoft Office
Able to record detail & complete documentation manually & electronically.
Good communicator & well organised.
