Accountabilities:
- Perform penetration testing engagements across web applications, APIs, mobile applications, and other environments for a variety of clients.
- Identify security weaknesses, exploit vulnerabilities ethically, and develop practical mitigation strategies.
- Conduct thorough assessments using industry-standard methodologies, tools, and security best practices.
- Analyze findings and create detailed reports that communicate technical risks and remediation recommendations.
- Present security findings and recommendations to both technical teams and non-technical stakeholders.
- Communicate effectively with clients throughout assessment engagements, including scoping, execution, and reporting phases.
- Collaborate with team members to improve testing methodologies, knowledge sharing, and overall service quality.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to less experienced security professionals.
- Stay current with emerging vulnerabilities, attack techniques, and cybersecurity trends.
- 3+ years of professional penetration testing experience, with strong preference for web application and API security testing experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in cybersecurity, computer science, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- Industry-recognized security certifications such as OSCP, OSWE, GWAPT, PNPT, or similar.
- Hands-on experience performing web application, API, and/or mobile penetration testing.
- Strong understanding of common vulnerabilities, security frameworks, and offensive security methodologies.
- Ability to identify vulnerabilities and provide clear, actionable remediation guidance.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with experience presenting security findings to clients.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to technical detail.
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, client-focused environment.
