In this position...
You will lead strategic sourcing of a critical commodity within Ford’s Global Supply Chain organization. This is a high-impact individual contributor role including early influence on product and supplier decisions.
In this role you will operate at the center of key decisions—partnering with engineering, manufacturing, and leadership to shape sourcing strategy and influence program success. This role—Buyer North America Air Induction Systems—offers strong visibility and the ability to make immediate contributions to Ford’s success.
What you’ll do…
- Define and execute sourcing strategies that strengthen cost competitiveness and product value
- Build and actively shape a forward-looking supplier portfolio aligned to emerging technologies and market trends
- Lead complex negotiations and create strategic leverage across the supply base
- Influence early design and engineering decisions to optimize cost and manufacturability
- Deliver material cost strategies that drive margin improvement and long-term competitiveness
- Deliver clear, data-driven recommendations that drive business decisions
- Anticipate risk and develop resilient supply strategies in a dynamic global environment
- Hold suppliers accountable to high standards of quality, performance, and innovation
You'll have...
- Bachelor’s degree
- 3+ years of procurement, strategic sourcing, or supply chain experience
- Experience working with manufacturing environments and cost driver

This position is a range of salary grades 6-8.
Final determination of salary grade will be based on candidate's skills and experience, and base salary will be set within the applicable range according to job scope, responsibility and competitive market value.
